Thanks again for subscribing to Cloud Musings! My goal with this newsletter is to write weekly to reflect and talk about the features we shipped, sales, marketing, fundraising, customer wins, etc.
This week, we talked to a number of investors and potential enterprise partners. As always, I would love introductions to more investors and enterprise partners who are excited about the cloud and developer tools space.
We’ve been pitching Morgan Stanley Inclusive Ventures Lab and we are one of 30 finalists scheduled to pitch the Investment Committee on Friday, June 9th. Talking to Morgan Stanley has been very intense as their due diligence is very thorough.
This week we met with their team to prepare for the Investment Committee and got a ton of feedback on our previous pitch. According to their team, the investment committee is made up of 30+ professionals across Morgan Stanley. It sounds pretty intimidating, but Paul and I have been working on our pitch and preparing around the clock. We have a lot of things going well for us:
Our team and advisors have deep experience in the cloud. I have over 15 years experience as a software engineer and Paul has over 20 years as a sales enablement at Dell, EMC, and various startups.
We have a solid product with decent traction.
We have a unique advantage and value proposition.
The cloud infrastructure automation market is big and growing.
The goal when we pitch Friday is to paint that picture very well. Given the fundraising market currently, the Morgan Stanley funding would help us grow our team, also serve as a catalyst for other investors and potential enterprise partners in the financial sector. The offer would be $250K for 5% equity.
Thanks for reading!
